You don't need to take a trip, you're already on one. You're remembering why it started as obscure, atemporal memories begin thawing all around you. Sharded trajectories crystalize and interlace, reasons surface from within reasons, each revealing an impetus. Nodes you've passed through share their subtle glow, illuminating where you've been, what brought you there and what might bring you elsewhere. Occasionally the glow gives way to chaotic blinking. But there's a pattern.

Understanding arrives in pieces. At times you even know what to do, or some of it at least. There are adjustments to make; you can see some new ones now. You see how they warp the invisible strands your thoughts traverse, piercing clouds of experience as you ride along. You almost forgot how fun it can be to play with things like that, how much perspective can wildly morph outcomes. How definitions can be redefined, or obliterated.

It's not always entirely comfortable of course, but that's normal. You aren't the only force at play. Not to mention, you realize, only a part of you is really even from here. You're a symbiotic vehicle grounded in the local dimension but tapped into the distance, fairly well-stocked with equipment to parse the concerns that get mixed into these things. You operate yourself as an often crazed yet always thoughtful, feeling, and adaptive pilot stuffed squishy with the actual goods. More goods than can be accounted for as a matter of fact.

Things are even more clarified this time. Rarified, too. Your twisty tendrils tap at the sound controls - it's time to power this sucker up. Your body enters strange motion as the resulting inexplicable frequencies flow through it and a portal bursts open before you. You throw a few glances around then grab it, wrapping spirals around yourself. A wave of anticipation buzzes over you as your next phase begins taking form...
